Hardwood floor sanding and refinishing

Bring tired hardwood back to life. Dust-contained sanding, stain samples on your actual floor, and finishes that hold up to kids, dogs, and real life.

What we do

What we can do for your floors

Full sand and refinish

Sand to bare wood, repair what needs repairing, stain if you want a new color, and apply fresh finish coats.

Screen and recoat

For floors that are dull but not damaged. We abrade the old finish and add a new coat. Faster, cheaper, and it adds years.

Repairs and board replacement

Water damage, pet stains, gaps where a wall came out. We weave in new boards so the repair disappears.

Stain and finish choices

Natural or custom stain colors. Water-based and oil-based finishes in matte, satin, and semi-gloss.

How it works

How refinishing works

1

Evaluate

We check how much wood is left to sand, look for repairs, and tell you whether a full sand or a recoat makes sense.

2

Protect

Dust containment, sealed doorways, and covered furniture and fixtures.

3

Sand

Multiple passes with modern equipment to a flat, smooth surface.

4

Sample

Stain samples applied to your actual floor so you choose from real color, not a chip.

5

Finish

Sealer and finish coats, with time between coats to do it right.

6

Cure and walkthrough

You get a written timeline for foot traffic, furniture, and rugs.

FAQ

Refinishing questions

If the boards are solid and there’s wood left to sand, refinishing almost always costs less and keeps the character of the original floor. If there’s structural damage or the floor has been sanded too many times, we’ll tell you.

Our sanders connect to containment systems that capture most of the dust at the machine. There is still some fine dust, so we seal off rooms and cover what stays.

It depends on the finish. We give you a written timeline for light foot traffic, furniture, and rugs before we start, and we don’t guess.

Yes. We weave in new boards, sand everything together, and finish it as one floor.
